Delete your account

In the app

Open knoelli and tap your initials at the top right. In Settings, choose Delete account and confirm. After that, the app on this phone shows the sign-in again.

Without the app

Use the contact form or send an email to kontakt@knoelli.de, and tell us the email address you sign in with. If you signed in with Apple using Apple’s relay address, tell us that address. Before we delete anything, we write to the address on your account and wait until you confirm there. Only then do we delete your account. We reply within one month.

What is deleted

We delete at once your account with its account ID, pseudonym, email address and settings, your push tokens, your parked car, your places, your points and your usage statistics.

What is kept, and for how long

• Reports and sightings stay for the map and the planned heatmap. We unlink them from you at once, and your votes and thanks too.
• A mute or ban record stays for up to 90 days after the last mute, or as long as a ban lasts. It holds a one-way hash of your account ID or email address, for a ban also your device ID, the level and the end time, not the address itself.
• Database backups are overwritten after 7 days. Until then, your data can still be in them.
• Crash reports are never linked to your account. They are deleted after 90 days.
